brown and green wedding - without a camera

on saturday we were invited to a wedding. i thought of everything, the hand made card, the extra pair of shoes (flats) so i could dance, extra hair pins just in case, lip stick for after i'm done eating, etc.  but i forgot my camera. unbelievable.

but since everything was so pretty - the colors (brown and green, my favorites), the bride's gorgeous lacy dress, the bridal party's cute outfits, and the decoration crafted by the bride and groom themselves - i thought i'd give you at least an idea of the general style and color scheme of this wedding.

what stood out to me the most at the wedding i attended was how they worked with a beautiful contrast of materials: natural elements such as branches, twigs, and the "hats" of acorns combined with ribbons, sparkly glass beads and shiny marbles. i took a few home with me so i could at lest share something with you. don't tell anyone :)

there was even a candy bar with paper bags waiting to be filled with candy. it was every kids dream... and all the big kids like me snuck around it too!

The acorns with the marbles are such a phantastic idea. I'll make some myself next fall and use them for decorating our living room.
