pinned it, cooked it

i'd like to share some more recipes that i have found on pinterest and pinned, and then actually tried out! i think of all the things i pin, it's the cooking/baking/eating board that i make most use for as a reference!

this one i can not highlight enough: you really need to try out Brussels Sprouts with Bacon, Avocado, and Lime. i have strongly (very very strongly!!) disliked brussel sprouts all my life and was hesitant to try this out, as i couldn't imagine it would make such a big difference in taste. but it did! and now i'm in love.
the same night i decided to give the 5 minute beer bread a try and wow! such a quick and easy bread should be in any mama's cooking repertoire. if we ever run out of fresh or frozen bread, i'm not lost. we always have flour and beer :)) in the house!

i third recipe i tried were the zucchini cakes. mine don't even look half as delicious as the ones in the original blog post, but i liked them a lot! i was missing one ingredient (panko bread crumbs), but i experimented with half a cup of flour and half a cup of oats and it worked perfectly!

linking up with Polkadot Lane's Pin It? Make It! linkup.

anything new you've tried out in your kitchen? feel free to share in the comments!

I love to try new recipes and brussel sprouts are something we all will eat so I will have to try this, my guys love bacon!

I am preparing an orzo dish with sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives and broccoli today. If it turns out I'll post it.

I have started using my pinterest as a reference board/ to-do list as well. When a friend convinced me to join, I didn't realize how useful it would be for that!!

I used to hate Brussel Sprouts but recently discovered they can be alright if prepared a certain way. I think I will try this recipe!
