slow knitting and slow reading

there has been very little progress on my upsized puerperium cardi for the junebug and also i have just read the first few pages of Three Junes by Julia Glass. it has been recommended to me by an online friend, i can't wait to sink in into the story.
i have to admit that there has not been much reading going on in the evenings here, as the mr. and i have started re-watching one of our favourite series on DVD. even though i've seen all 5 seasons before, the suspense is killing me at times... so we've had a lot of very late nights, ahem.
and also, the 3rd season of Downton Abbey just arrived on my doorstep 2 days ago... this means a lot more screen time in the evenings instead of reading... but that's ok :)

so, what are you knitting and reading.... or, watching ;) ?? i'm joining ginny's yarn along.

I wish I had Downton Abbey :( Well, I say the reading will always be there. Love your sweater and bit by bit it will be done!

Knitting is a process and before you know it, you'll have a sweater.
I haven't heard of Three Junes so will have to check it out. My reading has slowed lately, but I am hoping after the holiday's to fix that!

I have just recently got into Downton Abbey as I don't tend to watch tv but saw the box set on my instant streaming on Lovefilm. I've surprised myself by how much I'm enjoying it.
Your yarn looks dreamy!

Three Junes is staring me in the face as I type---in my to-read pile. I might just start it NOW as my fiction escape (the other book I'm reading is non-fiction and while interesting, not a page-turner)

I have been waiting for January, thinking that was when we would finally be able to watch Downton! We don't watch a lot of TV but what we do watch we become hopeless fans... Doctor Who, Downton Abbey... lol.

I love that sweater and made two, so stick with it. It is very much worth it!!

Downton Abby 3rd Season can't wait. What a great way to spend an evening.

The great thing about knitting is it is always there when you have the time. Enjoy Downtown Abby, I have not seen an episode, but I hear a lot of talk about on blogs, I should have a peek on of these days and see what it is all about.

That sounds so familiar - I'm enjoying my current read...but then there is Doctor Who to watch in the evenings. And the series wins because I can watch while knitting.
Oh, Downton! I haven't seen Season Three yet!

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting--I really enjoy stamp carving & it is so easy to get nice results (my son just carved another stamp) and the supplies aren't terribly expensive, either. Win/win for a hobby!

Three Junes looks like one I'll have to add to my list. Right now I'm between books and knitting a sock and wishing I had something else to knit because I'm weary of the sock. :)
