mug cozies for family and friends

for the past weeks i've been busy crocheting presents for my family. since one of the easiest, quickest, and fun things to make is a mug cozy, i've made many of them. so now either my family members love them already – or they will have to learn to love mug cozies because just about all of them will receive one very soon :)

here in the next one i tried out a shell stitch. this narrow mug is the mug it fits around the best. it does look a little funny with though the horse's ears sticking out, doesn't it?

this glass or tumbler holder is for my dad, but i'll have to make another one for myself as well. i need one like this because i often want to drink something cold but dislike how my fingers get cold from holding the glass. i know, i'm high maintenance... but at least i try to find creative ways of fixing my problems, right?

and this green scarf is one of my current projects. i estimate it's about 75% done at this point.

some days i seemed to not get any further with that scarf because every time i completed two or three rows after fixing a mistake, i felt like i had to go back further to fix something else i overlooked previously. this taught me not to work on this specific pattern when i'm too tired to think, after my brain entered into sleep mode. oh, and i suppose crocheting in the car when it's dark outside is also not my most productive time. i also found that out the hard way.

joining with ginny's yarn along. what are you knitting, crocheting and reading this week?
also joining: my creative space.

Your cozy's are just adorable Simona and I know your family must love using them.
I always use a cozy on my water jar so it doesn't leave a water ring where ever I set it, I am always losing it around the house and having to look for it.

Gorgeous cozies! I had to chuckle at learning not to crochet in the car in the dark, been there :) Your scarf looks great, love the colour!

Your cozies are so sweet! I think my hubby needs the tumbler - he doesn't like the cold fingers either. :)
