from the archives: corduroy bag

here is another post that was originally published on my old blog. it was one of the most popular posts on the blog ever though, so i really wanted to share it here too :)

I’m not the tutorial type of crafter. Only after I finished something, be it a sewing project or a minibook or a scrapbook page, I sometimes realize I could have taken how-to photos. Or at least a "before" photo. so i just jotted down some quick notes about the bag, some helpful hints or ideas. i think if you look at the pictures you might just know how it works. pretty self-explanatory.

you can download the pdf here!

This was one of my favourites :) Funny, I actually did start making one...but never finished it. Thanks for the reminder and inspiration nudge to go and finish it.

The fabric you used for the patch is too cute! I think I'll look out for corduroy pants on yard sales coming spring, I'd love to make a bag like this for myself. Actually, it would also make a nice baby shower gift...

It's ideal! And you know: this very bag inspired me to make those shopping bags with old jeans-shirt-pockets (shirts my husband couldn't wear anymore).
