yarn along: early morning knitting and new projects

i don't want to bore you with the same photos as in the last 2 weeks, but i am still working on my mairead hat. i've managed a few rows here and there and really want to finish it by the weekend. time to look for a new project. i have so many things i'd like to knit but want to stick to smaller projects for now. i still have this soft and chunky grey merino yarn waiting here for me that was once to become a blanket, but i frogged it. i'm not sure if the yarn is too thick, but i somehow love the thought of a cowl in that colour wrapped around someones neck :)

my reading is the same as last week. it's kind of embarrassing that i'm not moving on with it. but we watched a few movies on dvd this week, which doesn't happen that often, so i'm happy about that. we are waiting for snow but i have brought out our selection of winter books. we're going to the library today to pick up some more seasonal books!

it's 9 o'clock a.m. as i'm typing this, and it's still super dark outside, with the wind howling around our house. i really love this time of the year.

joining ginny again for yarn along. what are you knitting and reading?

might be the same knitting but the photo is different! I love how the knitting matches the one book.

I almost forgot how dark it is in the mornings as far up north as you are... Here the sun rises at 7:30 at the moment, and it doesn't set till 5:30, while yours rises at 8:30 and sets already at 4! Isn't that crazy?

The color of that yarn is gorgeous, by the way :)

Dark at 9:00? I will have to tell my daughter, she is moving to your country in August and is so excited.
I think your hat is so pretty and I miss reading your stack of books to my babes.

Don't be embarrassed about the slow pace of the reading. Mine is at a stand still as well. There's only so many hours in the day... Happy Knitting!

9 am and dark outside! Oh my goodness. I really don't know what that is like. Maybe one day I take a winter trip to northern Europe and see about it.

I like that colorway of your yarn!
